Newcomer Resources
Information to get you started!
A short introduction of activities in the SCA for you to explore:
Arts and Sciences
These are all the crafts, skills, and technologies practiced in the time period and cultures that our studies cover. SCA participants research, study, and practice these skills and then share them with others. You will see the results in use and on display at our events - the costumes (garb) we wear, the armor used in combat, the scrolls presented in Court, and the recipes used for a feast, just to name a few. Never be afraid to ask, "how did you do that?"
Martial Activities
Armored Combat
Rapier Combat - similar to fencing
Target Archery
Combat Archery
Thrown Weapons
Equestrian Activities
Youth Combat
If you are in Saint Lucie, Martin or Indian River Counties, the best way to get started with SCA activities is to join us at a Shire of Tri Os meeting. Check out when the next meeting is on our shire calendar.
You can also get in touch with us on Facebook where our meetings and events are listed.
